FUCK MY LIFE! PLEASE HELP!!

So i'm having a problem with steam. Any time i try to play css it wont start i just get an error msg saying "hl2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close". I just reinstalled steam and its still doing it, any suggestions?

from here you could have any number of problems...

try opening another game in steam.. if it fails
try opening another game out of steam... if that works defrag your steam files but if it doesnt...
update your gpu driver.. just google your make/model or run a self updater if avalible.. if that fails
run your windows memory diagnostic tool as you may have a ram problem... if that fails



buy a new computer jk but

its a fucked up problem to have and i know steam support wont be of any help

Press Ctrl+Alt+del, go to processes. End the process "hl2.exe". Try running CS again.

I cant get into my task manager at all.

no idea its grayed out and i cant click on it.

Uhh.. everytime I get that error, I fix it with task manager. Maybe update your drivers? If all else fails, contact the steam forums.

Everything is working now.
