thats all true and pending anything else i am extremely extremely sad. this is horrible. the past week has been nothing but "lets try and break up Kristan and Matt week, because even though they say the love each other they must be lying!". this is extremely saddening.... now even her parents are in on this conspiracy to break us up.

Her dad doesn't really mean anything to your relationship dude. You're not dating her dad. Is there any specific reason why he doesn't like you other than the fact that you are young? Sounds like he just wants his little girl to be with someone her age, nothing more and nothing less. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Maybe you should ask him about it sometime and show him you're not afraid to confront him.

your sensibility frightens me bob. and no i am not worried about him all that much. i have yet to see him since i learned about this from his son. (axbrin is his son btw and kristan brother) but im sure this will make things awkward at least for me. even if he doesnt know that i know what he thinks of me it will still be in the back of my head that he thinks that, ya know? also yes i am not worried about him and myself. i could care less what he thinks of me. but i know that her dad's opinion must matter to kristan and even though i know this wont change much in our relationship it really pains me that she is going to either be angry or sad or both at her parents because of me.

also i dont think i should confront him. he will tear me apart. i have heard many stories and met other members of kristan's family who are anything but nice and they are very very good and being cruel. i have never seen her dad tear someone apart myself but if he is anything like the rest of his family then i have good reason to be concerned.

Well, I give advice based on experience. I was in a similar situation, except I was in your girlfriend's position. My mom hated my girlfriend, I'm talking absolutely loathed her. As time went on, when she finally realized that she meant a whole lot to me, she grew to love her. I'm sure her dad is just worried that you're not "man enough" or not old enough or something so trivial that it shouldn't matter. From what I can see, you're a smart young man and I can assure you her dad will eventually see that she loves you and that his opinion isn't going to break the two of you apart.
