Need Help: game recording

Hey guys, as I said, I was making a CSS vid mostly played in the GoG servers. I have been using fraps but it sucks balls. Every time I enable it, my fps plummets and I cant even get a good shot off cuz its so laggy. Any reccomendations for a better game recording program that wont totally fuck my computer?

take demos and then fraps them

just get your demo like you usually would and then replay it and while you're replaying, fraps it.

And dont fall for any bullshit .dem converters, they're just viruses.
