Ranger needs an artist

I need someone to sketch out a picture of two characters in a game my classmate and i are working on, niether of us can draw decently. The descriptions of each character are listed below. Try to draw them in a pose that fits their character. Your drawings will be featured in the game bible and will likely later be handed over to an animator to be implemented into the final game.

Submit your drawings any way you see fit, whether it be email, embedded, hosted, etc.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Name:
Koi Kohaku

One-Sentence Description:
Koi Kohaku is an intelligent, passionate police detective who lives to solve crimes.

Appearance Description:
Koi is 5’6” with long, untamed, burgundy hair that stops at her mid-back. She is 35 years old with a worn face, resembling that of Zhang Ziyi that shows the years of hard work she’s invested into her job. She is the product of a Chinese father and a British mother. She retains her father’s Chinese look. She has blue eyes. She has kept herself in shape and is slim and agile in order to better track down criminals.

Koi wears a long, grey trench coat that ends at her calves. She wears a gray pant suit with a dark purple shirt underneath. Her pants conceal the legs of her black boots. She wears no jewelry and has no piercings or tattoos.

Koi’s trench coat conceals three large interior pockets big enough to fit a toaster in on each side which she uses to carry any pistols, knives, evidence, flashlights, and any other items she may collect as well as her lab field kit. These pockets act as her “inventory” in-game.

Backstory:
Koi Kohaku was born in 1973 and raised in England by her Chinese father and British mother. She grew up speaking with her mother’s English accent. Her parents were wealthy and enforced strict rules, controlling every aspect of her life. Koi resented her parents and longed for independence. On her 16th birthday, Koi permanently dyed her hair burgundy in an effort to rebel against her parents. Upon graduating high school, her parents immediately sent her to Harvard University to get an MBA, but in her second year she decided to change course and earn a degree in Forensic Science.

Upon graduating from Harvard, Koi refused to return home. Instead she sought out a life of her own in the United States. A friend and classmate offered to help get Koi started in her hometown of Manteo, North Carolina. Cut off from her parents’ wealth, Koi worked odd jobs for a year before finally applying at the police academy in an attempt to add meaning and purpose to her life by helping people. After graduating, Koi joined the Manteo Police Department and, due to her education, rose to the rank of detective after only 2 years on the force.

Koi became one of the department’s finest detectives, solving hundreds of cases through her own intelligence and by-the-book attitude with. Koi lived to work and had little desire for any sort of personal life. In 2008, Koi began thinking about returning home to visit her parents. However, before any real plans had been made, Koi learned of an explosion at a research lab nearby and was given lead on the investigation.

Attributes:
o Koi is extremely smart and has a high intelligence modifier
o Clues and evidence stand out more to her
o She is able to perform lab tests faster
o She is not as tough as Zeck and takes more damage.
o She has experience as a detective which allows her to get more information out of people through persuasion.

Behaviors:
o If Koi is hit or shot, she yelps.
o If Koi holds a gun, she holds it out at chest level with both hands.
o If Koi holds a melee weapon, she holds it close, and nervously, with one hand.
o If Koi finds a clue or piece of evidence, she leans in or crouches down to examine it or pick it up.
o If Koi dies, she screams and falls to the ground.

Character Purpose:
Koi is one of the two playable heroes. She works alongside Zeck to find the truth behind the explosion at the research lab.

Relationships With Other Characters:
Zeck: Koi did not previously know Zeck, but meets him at the scene of the explosion and teams up with him to solve the case.

Sample Dialogue:
When Koi finds a clue or piece of evidence she very curiously says, “Oh…”, or, “Look over here.”

If Zeck hits or shoots Koi, she says, “Stop that!”

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Name/ID:
Officer Zeck “Kachada” Jones a.k.a “Catch”

One-sentence Description:
The benevolent, under-dog in high school who grew up to force criminals into submission using MMA (mixed martial arts), and also shoot the wings off of a fly from a hundred yards.

Appearance Description:
Zeck “Kachada” Jones is 5’9” and weighs 160 pounds. He is 28 years old. His skin complexion is comparable to that of Lou Diamond Phillips which is offset by jet-black, wavy, long hair reminiscent of Hawk-Eye’s hair style from Last of the Mohicans. His brown eyes slightly slant that give him a Hawaiian look, but not so much that someone could mistaken him to have any sort of Asian lineage. His body-type is best classified as your typical ectomorph similar to the late Bruce Lee, but much more heavily, layered in muscle like George St. Pierre. He also has a tattoo of a Maltese Cross on his back that spans itself from the bottom of his neck to the border of his upper and lower back. Zeck is commonly seen in his Manteo Police Department uniform, which is midnight black

Backstory:
Zeck was born in Chapel Hill, NC on June 22, 1980 to a Native American father and an English mother. His father’s heritage is of Algonquin descent that was forced to leave the reservation at the age of 20 due to the discovery of his relationship with a white woman. Zeck’s mother died the very day that he was born due to various complications, so he never knew anything about his own mother apart from the details he hears in the stories told to him by his father. Unlike some children raised by a single parent, Zeck was still raised to be a very well-behaved, good mannered child. Zeck graduated as a Cum Laude with a 3.6 GPA. Given that Zeck possessed a strong academic background, his aptitude in education did not exceed his talent as a natural born fighter.

Most of Zeck’s interests during high school were focused on various martial arts (kickboxing, karate) and boxing. Although Zeck was an amateur welter-weight kick-boxing champion in a local league, he did not aspire to pursue his goals professionally because his 2nd interest and talent lied in helping or aiding people in general, so he decided to pursue a career as a police officer. Zeck went directly to the police academy in Chapel Hill upon graduation from which he also graduated with honors on the commandants list. Upon graduation, he immediately drove up North to New York City and applied for a spot in the infamous NYPD, which he has always dreamed of working for after being inspired by all of the intense action depicted in his favorite movie series, Die Hard.

Zeck befriended Richard Wallace, who served not only as his trainer, but also mentor and best friend when he first started at the NYPD. After 3 years of working with the department, he discovered that working for the NYPD was not all that he dreamt that it would be. All of the drama and action that he sought was not fought on the streets, but rather internally within the department. Zeck vowed to uncover all the officers that were involved in the corruption that consumed the department and its supposed protectors of the people. He began conducting an investigation that not even his mentor was aware of. As he began piecing the evidence together, it all began to point to his friend, Richard Wallace. Upon this discovery, Zack abruptly resigned with the NYPD and disappeared without even notifying Richard. Zeck then decided that he would just move back to North Carolina where he is now employed with the Manteo Police Department for the last year and a half.

Behaviors:
• Zeck flicks his nose with his right thumb and sighs loudly with an impatient tone if left idle for 15 seconds.
• Zeck will then flex his right bicep, look at it, and then hit it to test its firmness if left idle for an additional 15 seconds.
• When an enemy character is engaged in combat while no weapon is equipped, Zeck will convert to a south-paw, kickboxing fighting stance while rhythmically bobbing side to side.
• Zeck will initially have the handgun pointed at the ground (when equipped) until the ‘aim’ button is pressed at which point he will lift up the handgun to chest level and aim down the sight.
• Zeck will initially hold any larger fire arm at chest level, with the stock pressed against his right shoulder, and barrel slightly aimed at the ground. When the ‘aim’ button is pressed, Zeck will aim down the sight.

Character Purpose:
Zeck works along-side Koi as the muscle of the duo. He is the one the one that does most of the shooting, punching, and chasing, while Koi attempts to come up with a more logical solution to whatever their problem or case maybe. In essence, Zeck shoots first and never asks questions, while Koi asks all of the questions and attempts to come up with an answer using her brain or field kit tools.


Relationships with Other Characters:
Koi Kohaku – Zeck did not previously know Detective Kohaku prior to the incident at the Lost Colony DNA lab, but they become closer and discover ties in their heritage as they continue to collaborate on the case together.

Sounds sort of like a D&D Modern campaign? What's the world that they live in like? Are there supernatural occurrences? The world-setting will greatly inform the artists' interpretation of the clothing and attitudes of the characters....

actually if you read the description and background you'll see that it's modern day, 2008.

And I described the Woman's clothes and such.
